The DTI-391 industrial furnace is used to stress relieve welds on very large header systems used in the power generation industry. This custom oven is a clam shell type design with the two (2) halves hinging in the center of the furnace. The top half is opened manually with the assistance of a crane, and the header is loaded into the furnace. The furnace has tubular heating elements located in the top and bottom halves of the furnace. This allows heat to be supplied to all surfaces of the welds.
CUSTOM OVEN CONSTRUCTION FEATURES
The heating system uses cascade type controls. The furnace operating temperature is 1,400°F (760°C), and the exterior temperature of the furnace will not exceed 130°F (54°C).
