Equipment footprint was an important factor while engineering the equipment. The customer wanted a means to process 24 product pallets in the smallest space possible.
The pallets are slid onto the oven conveyor slots by the operator. The oven conveyor indexes upwards every 2.5 minutes through 24 positions inside of the oven. When the pallet reaches the top, it is pushed out onto an elevator with a pneumatically actuated arm. Once the pallet is pushed all of the way onto the elevator, it is lowered down to a height where the operator can comfortably unload it.
The oven has many safety features that include the following. The conveyor cannot index if the loading area is not clear or if the pusher arm in the top of the chamber is not out of the way. The elevator cannot be lowered if the unload area is not clear.
