Davron Wins Contract for Batch Curing Ovens for Aerospace Company

Davron Technologies, Inc. has been selected by a leading aerospace company to design and manufacture three batch curing ovens that will be used to cure a coating applied to honeycomb cores that are used in the construction of airplanes. The customer chose Davron because of the industrial oven solutions provider’s experience building ovens for the aerospace industry and the quality of both its design and manufacturing work. The batch ovens will be commissioned in the first quarter of 2015.

Meeting all safety and industry standards required for the curing process, Davron’s batch ovens will perform one of the most critical components in the overall honeycomb manufacturing process. The cores will be loaded onto a powered custom product cart that will then proceed into the oven. The cart will utilize a series of dampers and blank-offs to ensure that the airflow, which follows a horizontal pattern, is directed through each of the cores. The cores will remain in the heated chamber for a predetermined amount of time until the coating is cured.

“Our plenum airflow system and product cart provide an unequaled uniform temperature within the heated chamber and provide a consistent cure from part to part, which is paramount for this curing process,” said Jimmy Evans, Vice President and General Manager at Davron Technologies, Inc. “We have worked on numerous projects with this customer, which is a testament to the level of service we provide to all of our customers. This technology, our robust design, and our high standards for quality separate us from our competition.”
