DESCRIPTION
The DTI-773 conveyor type oven cures automotive disc brake pads. This indexing system is designed to work in conjunction with a ten-press automated system, providing continuous operation capabilities. As parts are pressed, an automated shuttle system delivers the parts to the entrance point of the conveyor oven. Many parts are placed across the width of the belt for thermal processing. Conveyor oven speed is set to match press production speed to create a continuous process.
Energy efficiency is maximized by immediately curing the parts after press forming. The energy (heat) put into the parts during the press forming is retained. Parts receive additional heating in the conveyor oven, completing the cure cycle. The conveyor oven design also provides even heat distribution to every part in the process. These factors allow the parts to be cured in this system in approximately 25% of the time required for batch process, with more consistent results. The conveyor oven includes five independent zones of temperature control. Parts are cooled prior to exiting the oven system.
