DTI-1498 Shuttle Preheat Oven
Customer directive
Davron was asked to design and manufacture a natural gas-fired shuttle oven to heat automotive carpet backing to a specified temperature before forming. The system was required to accommodate large products and automatically return them to the loading position after each heating cycle.
Description
Automotive carpet backing is manually loaded onto a framed wire cloth shuttle rack. A servo-driven shuttle system moves the product into the heated chamber and positions it for the programmed cycle. Vertical downward airflow promotes uniform heating across products up to 130 inches wide by 76 inches deep. When heating is complete, the shuttle automatically returns for unloading and transfer to the forming operation. The oven has an aluminized steel interior and painted carbon steel exterior for durable industrial service.
