DTI-1484 Micro Curing Oven
Customer directive
The customer wanted to replicate and update some of their existing machines to cure a coating onto extremely fine wires to product a medical industry product. Davron was able to take the customers’ existing process requirements and translate that into a newer, higher performing, and user-friendly machine.
Description
DTI-1484 utilizes a single gearmotor to synchronously drive two custom machined pulleys. Extremely fine wires are manually threaded around the pulleys with the top strands running through the Infrared heating section and the bottom strands running underneath the oven. The oven is designed with a hinged top which can be opened for easy threading of the pulleys. A machined applicator assembly is included on the entrance end of the oven to apply a coating to the wire prior to being cured. An exhaust fan pulls any VOC’s from the process via an exhaust hood at the exit end of the oven and pushes them through a catalyst for destruction. The oven is mounted to a structural framework to bring the height of the system to standard operator working height. To reduce the overall footprint of the equipment, the electrical enclosure and catalyst system are located within the framework of the system.
