The DTI-1158 industrial oven is used to develop curing processes for brake pads in the automotive industry. This custom oven is designed to simulate the process used in an indexing or continuous flow conveyor oven. This oven utilizes a rack made up of structural steel and a flat wire conveyor belt, which simulates the conveying system used in the production oven. The rack is driven by an electric motor to oscillate in the heated chamber during the process. The oscillation speed is variable, enabling the system to emulate different curing cycles and dwell times. The temperature is also variable to enable the simulation of independent zones of heat.




The product is loaded onto the conveyor rack and loaded into the oven.  A profile is set on the controller before oven loading. Once the door closes, the process begins. At the end of the programmed cycle, the door opens and the rack extends out of the oven so the product can be unloaded.
