Customer directive

The customer required a fully automated thermal processing system capable of heating multiple automotive carpet materials prior to forming. Individual carpet blanks are processed using dedicated heating technologies before being transferred and combined to create a three-layer carpet assembly ready for the downstream forming press.

Description

DTI-1527 is a fully integrated indexing conveyor system incorporating multiple independent heating chambers to process individual automotive carpet materials prior to forming. The system combines convection heating and infrared (IR) heating technologies, with each heating zone optimized for the thermal requirements of a specific material layer.

The primary convection oven utilizes engineered vertical airflow to uniformly heat permeable materials, while the dedicated IR heating chamber rapidly heats impermeable barrier materials. A secondary convection heating module conditions the remaining material layer before all three heated blanks are automatically merged onto a transfer conveyor feeding the downstream forming press.

Rapid indexing conveyors minimize transfer time between heating stages while maintaining accurate product positioning throughout the process. The complete system is factory assembled and tested prior to shipment to minimize installation time and commissioning at the customer’s facility
