DTI-1026 Automatic Material Manipulator System

This automatic material manipulator system transfers product blanks through multiple press operations. This system utilizes custom grippers to pick and place product blanks from operation to operation within a production cell. Multiple axis motion systems perform the work at very high speeds.

Upon completion of forming of the first blank, the first manipulator transfers the product to a glue operation. The second manipulator transfers the product from the glue operation to the second forming press. An additional material blank is added to the original formed blank, and the product is formed in the second press. The multi-layer formed product is removed from the second press by a third manipulator and transferred to the trim press for edge trimming. The third manipulator also removes the finished formed product from the trim press and transfers the product to the exit point.
