Conveyor Oven to Bake Snack Foods

Davron Technologies, Inc. designed and manufactured a natural gas heated conveyor oven to bake snack foods. This oven has a usable conveyor size of 2’-0” wide x 100’-4” long. The heated chamber is divided into four (4) zones of control with each zone utilizing it’s own full modulating gas burner and circulation fan. The conveyor utilized in the oven is wire mesh woven type belt and extends beyond the entrance and exit ends of the oven to allow for product to be loaded and unloaded from the heated chamber.
The oven is constructed of 4” thick steel insulated walls and 16 gauge aluminized steel interiors and ductwork. The oven utilizes access doors along both sides of the oven to provide access to the heated chamber as well as meeting NFPA explosion relief requirements for gas fired equipment. The operating temperature range of the oven is 200 to 400 degrees F.
The conveying system utilizes an automatic belt tracking system to ensure proper tracking of the conveyor belt during operation. An automatic pneumatic tension system compensates for the thermal expansion of the conveyor belt during operation maintaining proper belt tension.
The heated chamber is specifically designed to provide a combination of vertical up and down airflow to contact the product from both top and bottom during the baking process. The oven utilizes a closed loop digital control system for the heat and the conveying system utilizes a variable frequency drive.
